If you are experiencing performance issues with MechanicDesk, it is usually due to a (usually temporary) issue with the device you are using to access MechanicDesk.
Examples of the possible issues:
- Network performance issues (wifi interference, slow internet provider etc.)
- Antivirus software operating in the background
- Windows updates downloading in the background
- Browser extensions causing delays
Here's some basic diagnostics to help you get to the root of the issue:
- Restart your PC (Windows 10 shutdown saves a majority the current state of the PC, only restarting will cause Windows 10 to load from scratch)
- Run a check on your internet speed: https://www.speedtest.net/ https://www.speedtest.net/help#glossary
- Open MechanicDesk in an incognito window to check for issues with browser extensions: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464
- Check if Windows Update is downloading (Windows PCs only): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-update-faq-8a903416-6f45-0718-f5c7-375e92dddeb2#WindowsVersion=Windows_10
- Test using MechanicDesk on a different PC
- Temporarily disable antivirus live scanning (refer to your antivirus support documentation)
