Booking confirmations allow the system to automatically notify customers when a booking has been created or modified for them. This provides a clear indication to the customer that their booking has been recorded, and reduces work on your side by eliminating contacting the customer manually to confirm their booking.
The logic for sending booking confirmations will send the booking confirmation immediately upon the criteria for booking confirmations being met. The criteria are:
- Booking confirmations are enabled in the system
- The customer has relevant contact details according to the mode of communication configured
- The booking has been created or edited with a future date
- The booking has not yet been converted to an active job (retains the grey colour in the Diary)
Booking confirmations can be enabled and their sending mode configured in the Settings > Workshop Details area of your portal. The booking confirmation sending mode follows the booking reminder sending mode. If you are only sending booking confirmations, booking reminders will need to be enabled temporarily if you wish to change the booking confirmation sending mode.
